How is fat transfer done?
Fats are removed from the area where the fat is mostly tightly packed like the abdomen or thighs. Using a small needle attached to a syringe does this action.
After the fat is removed, it is processed to remove excess fluids and then re-injected using cannula which is placed just under the skin or muscle. This process may be repeated until desired outcome achieved.
The procedure takes about 1 hour and is expertly performed by our consultant cosmetic surgeon.
Benefits of fat transfer:
- Fat transfer may last longer than facial injectable(s).
- Cost effective as it can be combined with other fat related procedures.
- Minimal to none allergic reaction.
Micro fat grafting
Thin injection cannulas are used for micro fat grafting. The fat used for this are processed into nanofat. Micro nano fat grafting is different from fat grafting by a thin fraction.
Nano fat grafting is done to correct superficial rhytides, scars and dark lower eyelid rings. Nanofat is most suitable for skin rejuvenation purpose.
